Archdiocese of Indy sues Facebook

LeBlanc • May 19th, 2008 • Category: BlogCatholic News Service is reporting that the Archdiocese of Indianapolis has filed suit against Facebook to determine who created a ficticious Facebook page under the name of Tim Puntarelli, an archdiocesan school employee. CNS doesn't give much information about what was done with this fictitious account but the fact that the Archdiocese is worries about Mr. Puntarelli's reputation denotes its a situation of matter.
This has been a major problem with Facebook. If you recall, It was myself and Fr. Jason Vidrine who first had issue with Facebook removing titles from priests names and they responded to us saying it was a way to prevent people from assuming false identities and claim to be what they're now. Apparently they're not doing a very good job from this issue.
